A specialist in Dermatology and Venereology with honours, from 1989 to 2004 she practised dermatology at outpatient clinics in Milan and its province and in the dermatology departments of the Buzzi, San Raffaele-Resnati and Multimedica hospitals, working in clinical and oncological dermatology and minor dermatological surgery.

Her work focuses mainly on clinical and oncological dermatology and trichology. Since 1998 she has tutored on courses at the Laser Surgery School of the National Cancer Institute in Milan and has carried out studies on the in vitro culture of hair follicles. She has published scientific and patient-education articles and spoken at national and international conferences.
