A specialist in Thoracic Surgery with a PhD from the University of Milan, since 2012 he has been a consultant in the Thoracic Surgery and Lung Transplantation Department of Fondazione IRCCS Ca’ Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico in Milan and adjunct professor at the Thoracic Surgery Specialisation School.

He performs minimally invasive, endoscopic and robotic thoracic surgery for cancer, inflammatory and bullous disease of the chest, surgery for respiratory failure up to lung transplantation, and minimally invasive thoracic diagnostics. He is secretary of the International Thymic Malignancy Interest Group (ITMIG).
