A cardiologist and electrophysiologist, he is Director of the Cardiology 3 – Electrophysiology Department at Niguarda Hospital in Milan.
From 1997 to 2022 he worked at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan as clinical coordinator of the Arrhythmology Unit, diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders such as atrial fibrillation, paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia, Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome and ventricular tachycardia.
He has experience in transvenous and leadless pacing, defibrillator implantation, lead extraction and percutaneous left atrial appendage closure, a procedure indicated for patients who cannot take anticoagulant therapy; his research also focuses on these areas. He is a member and fellow of ANMCO, AIAC and the European Society of Cardiology.
